Insulation in Pearland, TX
Attic, wall, crawl space and spray foam insulation for Pearland homes and businesses, from a local crew based in Sugar Land.

Pearland's long, humid summers put a lot of heat into attics and a lot of moisture into the air. We check the insulation you have, explain what is working and what is not, and recommend the simplest fix that will make a real difference. Call (281) 010-0001 or request an estimate to get started.
What Pearland homes are up against
Pearland sits on flat ground south of Houston, and the weather here works on a house almost all year. Summers are long, hot and humid. The sun loads heat onto the roof from late spring well into autumn, and an attic in that heat can get far hotter than the air outside. Winters are short and mild, with the occasional cold snap that catches people off guard. Through all of it, the air carries a lot of moisture, and that moisture goes wherever the air goes.
Much of the housing in Pearland was built during waves of subdivision growth. Many streets are lined with slab-on-grade homes with a vented attic above, the air handler and ductwork up in that attic, and fiberglass batts or loose fill laid between the ceiling joists. In the older parts of town you will also find smaller, older houses, some on pier-and-beam foundations with a crawl space underneath. Each type has its own weak spots, and we look at them differently.
Common problems and what to look for
The complaint we hear most is an upstairs that will not cool down. In a two-storey home, the bedrooms over the garage or under a low roof pitch often run warmer than the rest of the house. Usually the cause is thin or uneven attic insulation: loose fill that has settled over the years, batts pushed aside when someone ran cable or replaced a duct, or gaps around the attic hatch and recessed lights.
The second is moisture. Humid air leaking into wall cavities or a crawl space can leave insulation damp, which makes it work poorly and can bring a musty smell. After a storm, a roof leak can soak a patch of attic insulation without anyone noticing until a stain shows up on the ceiling. Wet fiberglass or cellulose does not dry back to what it was, so it usually has to come out.
A few things you can check yourself. Look across the attic from the hatch with a flashlight. If you can see the tops of the ceiling joists, the insulation is probably thin. Look for dark streaks on the insulation near vents or light fixtures, which often mark where air has been leaking through. Notice any rooms that feel drafty near outlets on exterior walls, and any part of the ceiling with a stain.
Top up, repair or replace
Not every attic needs to be torn out. If the existing insulation is dry, clean and simply too thin, adding blown-in insulation over it is often the sensible fix. If it is wet, moldy, fouled by rodents or badly compressed, we recommend removing it first and then putting down a fresh layer. New material laid over a problem only hides it.
Spray foam makes the most sense when air leakage is the main issue, or when you want to bring the attic inside the conditioned part of the house, which helps the ducts and air handler that live up there. It costs more than loose fill, so we will tell you plainly when blown-in will do the job. A radiant barrier cuts the heat that radiates down from the roof deck, and it pairs well with attic work in this climate. We explain the trade-offs and you decide.
Services available in Pearland
We offer the same services in Pearland that we offer across the area: Spray Foam Insulation, Attic Insulation, Blown-In Insulation, Insulation Removal, Crawl Space Insulation, Wall Insulation, Commercial Spray Foam, Radiant Barrier and Emergency Insulation Replacement.
For most homeowners the work centres on the attic. Crawl Space Insulation matters for the older pier-and-beam houses, where cold floors in winter and damp air in summer both come up from below. Wall Insulation is usually part of a remodel or an addition, when the cavities are open, though some closed walls can be filled. Commercial Spray Foam covers shops, offices and metal buildings. Emergency Insulation Replacement is for insulation ruined by a leak, a storm or pests that needs to come out quickly. We work during our normal hours and do not offer after-hours service, but we will get damaged material dealt with as soon as our schedule allows.
What a visit looks like
A visit starts in the attic, or under the house if there is a crawl space. We check the depth and condition of what is there, look for wet spots, pest damage and gaps around pipes, wires and fixtures, and note where the ducts and air handler sit. If a room over the garage is the problem, we look at the garage ceiling too.
Then we go over what we found with you, with photos where they help. You get a written estimate that says what we recommend and why. If the work goes ahead, we cover floors and furniture along the path to the attic and clean up when we are done. Removal jobs take longer and make more mess, so we tell you what to expect before we start.
How to book
Call us at (281) 010-0001, email info@sprayfoaminsulationsugarland.com, or use the Request an Estimate form on this page. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on Sunday.
When you get in touch, it helps to tell us roughly how old the house is, whether it is one or two storeys, and what is bothering you: a hot room, high bills, a stain or a smell. That way we can bring the right equipment to your Pearland home on the first visit.
